PHYSICAL THERAPY

PHYSICAL THERAPY

Kineziterapija

Physical therapy – part of the rehabilitation treatment cycle – is treatment through active and passive movement, without the use of medications.

Physical therapy is beneficial for patients of all age groups who have physical function impairments. These impairments naturally occur as the body ages, but their earlier onset can be influenced by improper physical exertion, poor posture, an imbalanced work-rest schedule, and inadequate nutrition. Even when these factors are balanced, unexpected environmental factors sometimes arise: injuries, car accidents, unplanned surgeries, and chronic illnesses, which become the cause of impaired physical functions.

Timely initiation of physical therapy treatment helps eliminate these impairments and improve overall physical condition. Physical therapy is especially beneficial for back and neck pain, and joint pain. When applied to patients with arthritis, diabetes, stroke, or traumatic head or spinal injuries, kinesitherapy can restore optimal physical condition and enable independent living without pain.

The clinic’s therapists specialize in orthopedic-traumatological, neurological, pediatric, women's health, elderly health, and sports physical therapy.

FAQ:

Doctor’s referral is not necessary.

The goal of physical therapy treatment is to eliminate the root causes of the problem, not just the symptoms. The treatment may take longer than surgical or pharmaceutical approaches, but the results are long-lasting, and the likelihood of recurrence is lower.

You will answer questions asked by the specialist, formulated in a way that helps you provide detailed information about your symptoms. This helps in selecting the most appropriate active and passive physical tests, which will confirm or rule out the diagnosis. The results will be discussed with the patient, and a treatment action plan will be proposed.

The first visit, a consultation, is dedicated to a thorough examination, discussion of the results, and alignment of the treatment plan. It lasts up to 60 minutes. Subsequent visits, which are individual sessions, usually last 45 minutes. Follow-up consultations to assess progress take up to 50 minutes.

Based on the treatment plan selected by the doctor, the session may include physical exercise therapy, manipulation, stretching, soft tissue therapy, physiotherapy, and kinesio taping.
